Expository Paragraph_Functions of Food

Consuming food is one of characteristics of living things such as
humans, animals, and plants. Food itself has several functions
categorized mainly into 4 types. The former one is to produce heat which
is related to the provision of warmth or energy. Fats and carbohydrate
such as starches and sugar are the main source for hear and energy
production. Next, food functions as maintaining system that repairs
broken cells and controls the growth. Normally, this function can be
derived from animal and vegetable proteins. Food accessory which is
considered as useful but not essential elements is the other function of
food. It relates to the protection system come from mineral and
vitamin. The Latter, food plays role as a roughage such as fiber that
dilute other concentrated food types.
